briggs named new ireland rugby captain
Niamh Briggs has been confirmed as Ireland captain for the Women's Six Nations Championship. The Munster and UL Bohemians full-back succeeds Fiona Coghlan, who retired following Ireland's fourth-placed finish at last year's World Cup. Ireland's women begin their Six Nations campaign away to Italy on Friday, February 6th.
