McILROY TIES FOR 9TH IN DUBAI DESERT CLASSIC, GALLACHER WINS
Scottish golfer Stephen Gallacher won the Dubai Desert Classic for the second successive year. He hit a final round par 72 to end on 16 under, one shot clear and becoming the first player to successfully defend the title. Rory McIlroy shot a 2 over par round of 74 today to end on 12 under par and in a tie for ninth place. Damien McGrane finished his tournament on 10 under and a share of tenth, while Michael Hoey ended on 4 under par.
