o'neill confirms 29-man squad for friendlies
Ireland manager Martin O'Neill has confirmed his final 29-man squad for their upcoming four-game end-of-season friendly series. After initially announcing a 32-man panel, O'Neill has now dropped three players from the panel. James McCarthy has been rested after a long season with Everton, while Joey O'Brien has also been omitted after West Ham asked that the defender be excused. The other player to make-way is goalkeeper Darren Randolph is the other player to make way.
