The Mirror in the UK report that Liverpool have had a bid for Ireland forward Shane Long rejected. The Reds have offered 8 million pounds which Southampton are said to have rejected. The Merseysider's are ninth 8 points off the top four following yesterdays 1-0 defeat to Manchester United at Anfield.
