wexford youths triumph in ea sports cup quarter final
Wexford Youths managed to advance to the semi-finals of the EA Sports Cup last night. That's after a penalty shoot out with Galway at Ferrycarrig Park. The game ended nil-all after 90 minutes but Danny Furlong's goal five minutes into extra-time put Wexford Youths ahead. However Gary Shanahan's goal six minutes from time meant the game was decided by penalties and it was Wexford who came out on top, winning 4-3. They'll now await their opponenets in the next round. Dundalk also booked their place in the semi-finals last night when they overcame Derry City.
