17News Jobs For Wexford Announced

17News JOBS FOR WEXFORD ANNOUNCED

Wexford has attracted a major international investment, creating 17 jobs in the town. United Chemical Technologies, which employs 100 people globally, will set up shop in Ardcavan Business Park as part of the company's new European manufacturing facility. The company is a world leader in the field of silica-based Solid Phase Extraction technology, routinely used in Clinical, Forensic and Environmental Laboratories. The main functions of the Irish operations will include manufacturing, quality assurance, distribution and technical support services for the European market. Recruitment will start immediately for five positions in production and product inspection in Wexford while a senior European support specialist has already been employed for the Irish operation. The company was introduced to Ireland through ConnectIreland, a government initiative which sees people pass a foreign company's details on to the IDA to encourage them to locate in Ireland, with a reward of up to €1,500 per job created.
