Thousands of Irish Ferries passengers are in limbo today.
The company yesterday cancelled sailings to and from France because the new WB Yeats ferry still isn't ready for service. Six thousand bookings are affected - impacting 19 thousand passengers. An Irish Ferries helpline has re-opened this morning but people are having difficulty getting through.
Wexford Youth Input at Inaugural Ireland-UK Youth Forum
The inaugural Ireland–UK Youth Forum kicked off today in Dublin, with 60 young delegates from across Ireland, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales coming together to shape the future of Ireland-UK relations. Minister for Children, Disability and Equality, Norma Foley, officially opened the event, which aims to strengthen links and promote mutual understanding among young people across the islands.

Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Wexford has once again demonstrated its significant role in fostering economic growth, ranking in the top three Local Enterprise Offices in Ireland for job creation in 2025. The office supported the creation of 391 new jobs, a 19% increase compared to 2024 and marked the 11th consecutive year of growth for the county.

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service will visit Enniscorthy commencing this Sun 25th January upto – Wednesday 28th Jan. The IBTS are urging people across Wexford to consider donating blood as supplies were critically low after the christmas period particularly for A, B, and O negative blood types.
Wexford County Council Launches Anti-Dog Fouling Educational Resource Pack in Local Schools
On Tuesday, January 20th, Councillor Joe Sullivan, Cathaoirleach of Wexford County Council, presented the Bag It, Bin It educational anti-dog fouling resource pack to Principal Emer Russell and students at Scoil Ghormáin Naofa, Castletown. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the environmental and public health hazards of dog fouling with a particular focus on educating primary school students across Co. Wexford.
