Revenue Officers at Rosslare have seized over 2 tonnes of tobacco after a search yesterday morning.
A Polish registered truck was stopped after it arrived from Cherbourg in France. The tobacco had a retail value of over 1 million euro and represented a loss to the exchequer of 800 thousand. A man in his 40s was questioned and the truck has been seized along with the illegal tobacco.
