250 Jobs To Go At Liberty Insurance In Cavan And Dublin

250 jobs to go at liberty insurance in cavan and dublin

270 jobs are to be lost at Liberty Insurance. 250 redundancies will come from Cavan and Blanchardstown with a further 20 lost at the company's call centre in Fermanagh. In a statement, Liberty Insurance says workers in Cavan and Dublin were told about the job losses at meetings this morning. The firm, which took over from Quinn Insurance in 2011 - is seeking a total 270 voluntary-led redundancies over the next 18 months. It says that final numbers are uncertain - but it expects 135 redundancies in Blanchardstown; 115 in Cavan and 20 from its call centre in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh. The job cuts are being sought because Liberty is closing its UK insurance operation - it will engage with workers during a consultation period over the next 30 days. President Luis Bonnell says the company is committed to building a successful business in Ireland and will continue to create jobs.
