Wexford County Council says it intends to place 3 vacant properties on the Register of Vacant Sites.
Local authorities are required since the 1st of January to establish a register of vacant properties in their area. These vacant sites are then subject to a 3% levy on their owners if they fail to develop prime housing land. The sites where levies can be imposed must be vacant for more than a year and be zoned for residential or regeneration purposes.
