Aib contacting thousands of customers over card protection insurance
AIB is contacting around 110,000 of its customers, who are due compensation after a review of their card protection insurance policies. It after those customers were sold credit card protection which they didn't need, because they were already covered under the terms and conditions of the card. The scheme was provided by Pinnacle Insurance and may have been selected by customers when applying for an AIB credit card. The Central Bank says it has engaged with AIB to establish a voluntary redress scheme and is encouraging all of those affected to make a claim.
