Smuggled cigarettes worth nearly €80,000 have been seized by customs using a detector dog at Rosslare Port.
An Irish registered van was stopped and searched after it disembarked a ferry from France. With assistance from Alfie the dog, officers found cigarettes branded Kent, Marlboro Red and Marlboro Gold, concealed in bags labelled as "charcoal". A Romanian man was questioned and investigations are ongoing.
