Changes on the cards for school bus users
One in five school children could lose their place on the school bus as vehicles are getting down sized. The Irish Independent reports that 'concessionary' ticket holders would lose out, because they only get a place if there are spare seats on the bus. That could mean that 22 thousand pupils end up with no way to get to school. A briefing document for the new Education Minister outlines the changes, which are to be phased in over the next school year.
