Co. wexford leaving cert student with dyslexia has reader application rejected
A County Wexford leaving cert student with dyslexia, who had an application to have a reader rejected, says she's been left without hope of passing her exams. 17 year-old Andrea Tse who was assigned help for her Junior Cert was told that she didn't need external assistance to complete her final exams after passing a reading test. However her mother Catherine says she was given material to read that she's familiar with and had been studying for over two years. The FCJ Bunclody student is now struggling to complete her exams alone and without a spelling or grammar exemption. Her mother Catherine told South East RadioNews that she's been left devastated by the move.
