Examining the cost of Michael D Higgins' Presidency shouldn't be allowed to affect the presidential election, according to a TD.
One of the Oireachtas' most powerful committees is considering looking into the rising costs of running the Áras. TDs and Senators may investigate the spending when the Dáil returns in September.
