Davy Fitzgerald Reflects on Fond Memories as He Prepares for Antrim’s Visit to Wexford

Former Wexford hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald has spoken warmly of his time in the county as he prepares for his Antrim team’s visit this Saturday. Fitzgerald, who now manages Antrim, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for both the players he worked with and the incredible welcome he received from Wexford supporters during his tenure.

Reflecting on his time in charge of the Yellowbellies, Fitzgerald described his connection with the county as something special:

“The relationship I had with the players was fantastic,” he said. “The support from the people of Wexford was amazing and I’ll always have fond memories of my time there.”

As he makes the trip back to Wexford this weekend, Davy Fitzgerald spoke of how much he’s looking forward to the visit, despite now being on the opposite side of the fence:

“It’s a place that always made me feel welcome, and I’m looking forward to returning,” he said.

This Saturday, all eyes will be on Chadwicks Wexford Park – Wexford V Antrim  in what promises to be an exciting championship clash. The match is set for a 4pm throw-in.
