Drug addicts should receive help not court dates - o'riordain

A Labour Senator says people addicted to drugs need to be given help, not sent to court.

Aodhán O Riordain - who was a former Minister of State for the National Drugs Strategy - is in favour of decriminalising all drugs for personal use. It's one of the suggestions in the National Drugs Strategy being brought forward by the Government. Senator O Riordain says those addicted to drugs should not be considered criminals.
