Figures Show HSE Controls Over 200 Vacant Properties

A Wexford TD has said figures that show the HSE currently controls more than 200 vacant properties are troubling.

A further 38 are under review, while 103 buildings across the country are vacant but are being retained for potential future use. It comes as a parliamentary question from Wexford TD Malcolm Byrne shows 93 of those are actively being sold or disposed of.     A recent study has revealed that awareness of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is alarmingly low among older adults and their carers in Wexford and across Ireland. Despite RSV being a significant cause of hospitalisations, particularly for those aged 65 and over, only 18% of people report knowing much about the virus. The study, commissioned by Pfizer and conducted by Ipsos B&A, shows that 41% of respondents have never heard of RSV or only recognize the name.
