Garda ombudsman to be questioned over controversey
The Garda Ombudsman is to be questioned today over claims it's headquarters in Dublin was bugged. Representatives from the commission are due before the all-party Public Oversight and Petitions Committee. They'll also be questioned over why electronic anomalies at the building were not reported. The Justice Minister is insisting there was no evidence of a security breach at the offices. Minister Alan Shatter has also said there would be no independent inquiry into the matter.
