Gardaí in Carlow Appeal for Witnesses Following Fatal Road Traffic Crash Involving Cyclist

Gardaí in Carlow are continuing to appeal for witnesses, following the death of a cyclist on the main Bunclody to Carlow road in a road traffic crash at about 11.00pm last night (Friday).

The collision with a car happened on the N80 at Kilmeany, near Tinryland. The cyclist, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The road between the Tinryland Junction and the M9 remains closed for an examination of the scene. Superintendent Anthony Farrell from Carlow Garda Station is appealing for any witnesses to come forward: "An Garda Siochána would like to make an appeal for witnesses or anybody who has any information in connection with the road traffic collision. Maybe you have dashcam footage or maybe you might have seen something that could connect or help us with the Garda investigation. If you have any information please contact an Garda Siochána at 05991 36620."
