A gravedigger from County Wexford has sued Wexford Borough Council after slipping on ice.
Nicky O'Brien from Windmill Heights in Wexford Town was walking in St Ibars Cemetary in Crosstown in January of 2009 when he claims he slipped on an icy path and fractured his ankle. He claims the council should have salted the path and made it safe for those using the cemetary. He's sueing for damages after being unable to work for 8 months due to his injuries. The council has denied any wrongdoing. The case is set to continue.
