Post mortems are due to take place today on the bodies of an elderly couple who died in County Mayo.
Tom Fitzgerald, who was in his 70's and his wife Kitty, who was in her 60's, were pronounced dead at their home in Irishtown on Tuesday. Their son Paul suffered injuries and is being treated at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin. A technical examination of the scene has taken place and Gardai believe the results of the post mortems will give them a clearer indication of what happened.
