Gibraltar's financial regulator has begun an investigation into Enterprise Insurance which collapsed in July, at the time it had 14,000 Irish policyholders on its books.
This follows Gibraltars Supreme Court appointing a liquidator to the company yesterday. As of midnight all motor policies written by the insolvent company will cease to be effective. According to the Wexford based underwriting agency for Enterprise Insurance some six hundred policies remain live at the company.
