A syndicate from Bere Island off the Cork Coast have picked up their EuroMillions Plus cheque for half-a-million euro at lotto headquarters in Dublin.
The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased last week from local Post Mistress, Mary Murphy - who's the only lottery retailer on the island. The small syndicate, who wish to remain private, say they're extremely grateful for all the support they have received and are planning a big celebration for the entire island once the dust settles.
