Large areas of county wexford are still without power
Over five thousand homes across County Wexford have been without electricity for a second night, after Wednesday's storm. The worst affected areas are New Ross, Clonroche and parts of Wexford with over one thousand homes without power in each of these locations. An estimated four hundred homes have no electricty in Gorey, over two hundred in the Ferns area, and about one hundred in the Enniscorthy and Bunclody areas. The ESB says it has already restored power to over nine thousand homes and businesses in County Wexford. Nationally over sixty thousand people are still without power. Meanwhile there's potential for more bad weather today with heavy rain and more strong winds forecast. However, it's not expected to be as bad as Wednesday.
