Sharing an intimate image of someone without their consent will soon become a criminal offence, after new legislation was approved by cabinet today.
Under the laws, a person caught distributing image-based abuse may be jailed for up to seven years. The Justice Minister is hopeful they will be enacted by the end of this year.
