Speeding fines could soon be based on how much over the limit drivers are.
According to the Irish Daily Mail, plans by the Transport Minister would see a heavier punishment given to faster drivers. That would replace the current €80 fine given to anyone, no matter how much they're speeding by. The AA's Conor Faughan says the new proposals make sense.
