Obesity levels among children around the world have risen 10 fold in 4 decades.

A new study's prompted the World Health Organisation to call for governments to limit the marketing of junk food. Yesterday's Budget included a 60 cent tax on fizzy drinks - but critics are unhappy that many Irish children still need to go abroad for obesity surgery.
