The Chairman of Wexford County Council Tony Dempsey and Mayor of Wexford Councillor Ger Carty have signed a formal letter of invitation to Pope Francis, inviting him to visit County Wexford The invitation comes as part of his forthcoming proposed visit to Ireland. Hopes are rising in church circles of a possible Papal visit here in 2018.
