The Government has approved an increase in rent supplement and housing assistance payments by as much as 35%. It'll cost up to 55 million euro extra in a full year. Every part of the country will see increases with with up to a 29% rise in Dublin.

DFDS Increases Capacity on Rosslare–Dunkirk Route
DFDS has announced a significant upgrade to its Rosslare–Dunkirk route with the deployment of Victoria Seaways, set to begin service from 26 September. The vessel will replace Optima Seaways and bring a marked increase in both passenger and freight capacity—doubling the number of cabins available and expanding freight lane metres by 10%.
