School expansion funds approved for enniscorthy
A major new extension for St.Mary's CBS School in Enniscorthy has been approved by the Department of Education. Funding for an additional five classrooms is being provided to cater for the school's ever increasing numbers, and work on the project is expected to get underway this summer. The announcement was made by Fine Gael Minister of State Paul Kehoe, who said the planned extension is vitally important to cope with the town's ever-increasing population over the coming years. It's the second major school expansion announcment for Enniscorthy within the past twelve months, following the sanctioning of a multi-million Euro transformation of St.Aidan's National School.
