A large number of homes in County Wexford have a poor energy rating Thats according to recently published figures from the Central Statistics Office. They show twenty six per cent of all homes in the county have the poorest energy rating, while just eight per cent are in the top BER rating category This has prompted Enniscorthy Fianna Fail TD James Browne to call on householders to avail of the Better Energy Homes Scheme It's operated by Sustainable Energy Ireland and provides grants for roof and wall insulation,heating control upgrades and solar heating.
