Two Co. Wexford Towns Amoung Worst In The Country For Air Quality

Two co. wexford towns amoung worst in the country for air quality

The towns of Enniscorthy and New Ross have some of the worst air quality in the country. Four areas around Enniscorthy town and two around New Ross were found to have the most polluted air quality in the country. That’s the findings of a new report on the use of fuels and emissions in Ireland and conducted by the North South Ministerial Council. This has led to the calling for a ban on the burning of smoky fuels in both towns. It has come from Wexford County Councillor Malcolm Byrne. He says this should be extended to a nationwide ban because the fuel is a threat to people’s health.
