Unclear yet if coca-cola will cut wexford jobs
Coca-Cola, which has a factory in Wexford, has announced plans to cut up to 1,800 jobs worldwide, in a cost-saving exercise. It's thought they'll go at the drinks company's headquarters in Atlanta, as well as its North American and international divisions. The firm has struggled with weak sales in the US recently, amid concerns about the link between soft drinks and obesity. It's not yet known if the cuts will affect the company's Wexford operations. The manufacturing and innovation facility in Drinagh created 100 jobs when it opened in 2011.
