A dispute over the ownership of six valuable horses at River Lodge Equestrian Centre in Bridgetown County Wexford is set to go to mediation.
Rafael Sanctuary has agreed to hand over the animals including a Class 1-rated horse named Mika which will remain in the care of centre owner Michelle Kenny. Ms Kenny had previously secured a High Court injunction after the horses were removed following her decision to sell the business. Sanctuary had managed the Wexford centre since 2017 but was recently suspended pending an investigation into financial management and other matters. The Irish Independent reports the case will return to the High Court next month if mediation fails to resolve the dispute.
