Vigil for Gaza to be held in Ballyvaloo Retreat Centre

In a show of compassion and solidarity, a peaceful humanitarian vigil will take place this evening at Ballyvaloo Retreat and Conference Centre in County Wexford, in support of Trócaire’s ongoing relief efforts in Gaza. This special event will raise awareness for those affected by the devastating humanitarian crisis in Gaza, while also offering a space for reflection and collective action. The vigil will begin with an insightful and thought-provoking lineup of speakers who will address the current situation in Gaza and highlight the vital work being done by Trócaire, Ireland's leading aid agency, in the region. Attendees will hear about the challenges faced by the people of Gaza, and how Trócaire is providing much-needed support during this difficult time. One of the most heartwarming aspects of the event will be the Children’s Art Exhibition , showcasing the creativity and solidarity of local children. The exhibition aims to reflect the resilience and hope of young people, both in Gaza and here at home. The evening will also feature uplifting music by the Credo Female Vocal Ensemble , adding to the atmosphere of unity and shared purpose. The highlight of the evening will be the candlelit vigil on Ballyvaloo Beach . As night falls, participants will gather on the shore, holding candles to form an illuminated message of compassion and solidarity. This symbolic gesture will serve as a reminder of the power of collective action and the importance of standing together in the face of humanitarian crises.
