Wexford County Council Hosting Winter Homeless Outreach

As colder weather approaches, Rosslare County Councillor Jim Codd has announced a dedicated day of outreach to assist those experiencing homelessness or housing vulnerability.

On Monday, September 22nd, Cllr Codd and council staff will be available throughout the day at Wexford County Council offices to meet with individuals who are homeless, couch-surfing, or at risk as winter sets in. The goal is to identify people in need and work to secure shelter or housing solutions before the arrival of frost, rain and plunging temperatures. “This time of year is critical,” said Cllr Codd. “We want to make sure that no one is left without a roof as the nights get colder. If you or someone you know is in a vulnerable situation, please come forward.” People are encouraged to contact the council in advance to arrange a time slot, allowing staff to provide personalised support and ensure privacy. Speaking to South East RadioNews Cllr Codd said he will be present all day to personally support those who attend.
