Wexford Festival Opera has been named Best Festival at the International Opera Awards.
It was announced at a prestigious ceremony at London's Coliseum last night, and was attended by the world's leading Opera professionals. Wexford Festival was crowned best festival ahead of other shortlisted festivals from France, Italy, the UK, and United States. The 66th Wexford Festival Opera opens on the 19th of October for an extended 18 day programme.
