Wexford-based food, drink and ingredient entrepreneurs are being urged to apply for Food Works 2026 – Ireland’s leading accelerator for high-potential food and drink start-ups.
Backed by Bord Bia, Enterprise Ireland and Teagasc, the state-supported programme has helped over 130 companies scale nationally and internationally since its launch in 2012. Previous success stories include All Real Nutrition, Chimac, Wicklow Wolf and more. The ten-month accelerator offers expert mentorship, investor-readiness training and access to world-class food innovation facilities. Start-ups also benefit from funding opportunities, peer learning and tailored support to build their business and brand. Speaking about the impact of the programme, past participant Nicholas Deaney of BioVit said it provides “invaluable expertise across all aspects of the food-value chain,” while Aisling Kelly Hunter of Sligo Bay Oysters praised it for helping sharpen her brand’s focus. Applications for Food Works 2026 are open until 28th November 2025.
