Graduates from Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly and Wexford are among 73 talented individuals who have joined the ESB Graduate Development Programme, an award-winning initiative designed to nurture the next generation of energy leaders.
This year’s intake includes both Irish and international graduates from a wide range of disciplines, including engineering, IT, HR, commercial, marketing and finance. Participants will gain hands-on experience through impactful projects and real-world assignments across ESB’s diverse operations. The programme plays a central role in supporting ESB’s strategy to achieve Net Zero by 2040, by attracting skilled graduates who can help drive innovation and transformation within the organisation. Welcoming the new graduates at their induction, ESB Chief Executive Paddy Hayes emphasised the importance of their contribution to the company’s long-term vision. Graduates will benefit from a structured support system, including dedicated mentors, hybrid working options and access to ESB’s broader learning and development resources. Sinéad Kilkelly, ESB’s Executive Director for People & Organisation Development, commented: “Our graduate programme focuses on professional and personal growth. These new team members will play a key role in helping ESB meet its Net Zero goals, and we’re committed to supporting them every step of the way.” Applications for the 2026 Graduate Programme open on Monday, September 22.
