Wexford mother calls for end to nek nominations
A County Wexford mother has appealed to the public to stop the Nek Nominations craze. Ann was speaking on South East Radio's Morning Mix after she found her son unconscious in her garden after his friends dared him to drink a bottle of vodka. This latest plea for an end to the online drinking game comes as the funeral of a 19 year-old County Carlow man takes place today. Jonny Byrne died after drinking a pint of alcohol and jumping into a river. Ann says the Nek Nominations game needs to come to an end. She pleaded with people not to take part in the craze after his son had to be hospitalised after he drank a substancial amount of alcohol.
