Fianna Fail's James Browne has asked for Wexford to be seen as a border county in the negotiations between Ireland and the UK over Brexit.
In the dail today, the Wexford TD said that due to the sea connections between Rosslare and Welsh ports, Wexford should be given specific supports after the UK leaves the EU. In response, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Charlie Flanagan said that while he understands the importance of the counties connections, it was unlikely to receive special status.
