Wexford students are availing of the third level student grant scheme in growing numbers The county is at the national average of a three and a half per cent increse in students availing of the grant scheme over the past year Numbers have gone from 2,764 in in 2011/12 to 2,863 for 2012/13 an increase of 99 Ten counties have seen a drop in grant approvals mainly in the west but also Kilkenny in the south east which saw a drop of 1.1 per cent This is the frist time a breakdown of county by county figures for the student grant scheme have been published and appear in todays Irish Independent
