Wexford's food and scenery will be shown to millions of Australians on television this week.
Chef Colin Fassnidge filmed in locations across Wexford, as well as in Cork, Galway, Meath and Dublin for the show "Better Homes and Gardens." Colin’s filming schedule includes a music session at O'Briens Pub in Killenagh, Cahore Beach and his mother’s house in Wexford, where they make seaweed butter together. Sofia Hansson, Tourism Ireland’s Manager for Australia and New Zealand, said: “We are delighted to welcome back the ‘Better Homes and Gardens’ team to Ireland and who better than Irish chef Colin Fassnidge to showcase our exceptional culinary scene. The segments filmed here, set against the backdrop of our stunning scenery, are due to air on the Seven Network next spring and are sure to inspire Australian food lovers to plan their own visit to Ireland.” It has an average audience of over 1.3 million per episode on Australia's Seven Network. The project was supported by Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland.
